Interior Life

An interwoven series of fictional shorts emerging from the 2020 pandemic.

Episode 1 features Marc delaCruz of Broadway’s HAMILTON.

In each episode a different character explores their separate yet interconnected struggles with the unexpected. Created within the restrictions of the 2020 pandemic quarantine, these stories do not take place during the pandemic. However, they explore those unexpected shifts in perspective and humor that emerge as we reckon with facing what comes next.

The unique circumstances of the pandemic in New York City shaped the creation of the series with social distancing restrictions and stay at home orders in place. Beyond dark questions about shifts in our world, the writer and director worried what expression would be possible when in-person collaboration had become so dangerous.

This a PSA that I wrote and directed for the Love/Avon Army of Women, a breast cancer initiative. It aired on Lifetime and Glamor.com. Making this project meant a great deal to me and the NYU Grad student team who created it, as the fight against breast cancer has touched my family and, sadly as I get older, its impact on my community still grows.
